HiDef- BNSF, Amtrak, & Metrolink in Fullerton, Ca. July 4th. Lots of Horn & Surprise Ending!

[Watch in HD] Before the Searclight Signals get replaced by the "Trilights", I decide to head out for a day of action at Fullerton on a Sunday, rather than a Saturday. Freight action was pretty good for a Sunday, with the exception of no Manifests today. But here's what I saw. Got to see the good ol' 117 lead the Southwest chief each way, and included the conclusion of the fireworks show in Redondo Beach. Please note: I only included a select few shots from the day. Here's what's included: 7:44am- Amtrak's Westbound Southwest Chief Train #3 slowly strolls thru E. Fullerton about 1hr 10 minutes late. They're about to install new concrete ties here. P42DC #117 P42DC #46 8:56am- Amtrak's Southbound Pacific Surfliner Train #566 cruises into Fullerton with some good horn action. F59PHI #460 Cabcar #6901 "Point Hueneme" 12:24pm- Metrolink's Southbound Train #662 highballs the station en-route to it's next station stop, Anaheim. MP36PH-3C #901 Cabcar #614 12:40pm- A Eastbound 172-car Stacktrain makes good speed thru Fullerton as the remaining clouds burn off. ES44DC #7661 ES44DC #7797 ES44DC #7621 C44-9W #5172 (DPU) ES44DC #7254 (DPU) 2:40pm- An Eastbound Stacktrain bound for the Esperanza siding (about 10 miles up the line) comes by with a 5-Pack of GEVO's. Nice Engineer. ES44DC #7769 ES44DC #7771 ES44DC #7745 ES44DC #7732 ES44DC #7757 4:22pm- A Westbound Stacktrain comes thru next with a BRAND-NEW GEVO on the point, and picks up speed passing by.
