Voting Question: How can I make my long distance relationship work?

So the girl I've been dating for a few months now is probably going to college in San Diego, CA while I'm going to college in Fullerton, CA. It's about a 2 to a 2 1/2 hour drive apart and about 90 miles. We really like each other but are afraid of moving on any further in our relationship so that we don't get too attached and end up being hurt if we can't make it work. I'm looking for suggestions and a legitimate plan/schedule I can give to her so we can get a little more serious. I wont have classes of fridays so at the least, I'm hoping every other weekend we can spend together. How can we make this work?
